About Hillary
My name is Hillary, and I am a passionate DJ dedicated to helping aspiring DJs develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed. Through years of practicing, performing, and creating mixtapes, I have gained valuable experience in music selection, beatmatching, smooth transitions, crowd engagement, and live DJ performance. I enjoy sharing this knowledge in a way that is practical, encouraging, and easy to understand.
I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I create a supportive learning environment where questions are always welcome and progress is made at a comfortable pace. My goal is not only to teach the technical aspects of DJing but also to help students develop their creativity, confidence, and unique style behind the decks.
Whether you are a complete beginner with no prior experience or someone looking to sharpen your existing skills, I am committed to helping you achieve your goals through personalized instruction, patience, and consistent guidance. I take pride in being reliable, professional, and fully invested in each student's success, making every lesson enjoyable, practical, and focused on real-world DJ techniques.

I believe that the best way to learn DJing is through practical experience. My lessons are interactive, hands-on, and tailored to each student's goals, whether you want to become a club DJ, perform at private events, create mixtapes, or simply learn a new skill. I break down every concept into simple, easy-to-follow steps so that beginners can build confidence while more experienced learners can refine their techniques.
A typical lesson begins with understanding the fundamentals of DJ equipment and software, followed by beatmatching, transitions, cueing, phrasing, EQ control, and mixing across different music genres. As students progress, we cover advanced skills such as scratching, live performance techniques, crowd reading, playlist preparation, and creating professional-quality mixes. Every lesson includes practical exercises, real-world examples, and constructive feedback to help students improve consistently.
What sets me apart is my real-world experience as an active DJ and mixtape creator. I teach the techniques that working DJs use in live performances, not just theory. My approach focuses on developing creativity, confidence, technical skills, and performance ability so students are prepared for real audiences and professional opportunities.
My lessons are suitable for complete beginners, aspiring professional DJs, hobbyists, and anyone looking to improve their mixing skills. Whether you're learning for fun, preparing for live events, or aiming to build a career in the music industry, I adapt each lesson to your current skill level and learning pace, ensuring an enjoyable and rewarding learning experience.
