About Nancy
As a professional artist with over 25 years of teaching experience and a background in social work, I offer individualized art instruction that nurtures both technical skill and creative confidence. My lessons are designed for ages 10 through adult, from complete beginners to advanced students, including those preparing portfolios for high school, college, or professional opportunities.
Each lesson is tailored to the student's goals, interests, and learning style. We begin with observational exercises and skill-building in drawing, painting, or mixed media, then move into creative exploration, problem-solving, and individualized feedback. Students are encouraged to develop a sustainable studio practice while building strong technical foundations and discovering their own artistic voice.
What sets my teaching apart is the integration of professional studio practice with a compassionate, student-centered approach.
