Hi, I'm Daniel! I'm a Canadian filmmaker, director, producer, and editor with over a decade of experience in independent filmmaking, documentary storytelling, and commercial production.

Throughout my career, I've worked on projects of various sizes, collaborating with talented crews and creative professionals to bring stories from concept to screen. Most recently, I directed and produced the feature film Fresh Meat, which premiered at London's prestigious FrightFest film festival in 2026.

My experience extends beyond directing to include screenwriting, production management, budgeting, editing, and the practical challenges of bringing a film to life.

As a tutor, my goal is to make filmmaking approachable, engaging, and rewarding. I believe everyone has the potential to tell a compelling story, and I enjoy helping aspiring filmmakers develop the skills and confidence to bring their ideas to life.

My name is Daniel, and I'm a professional filmmaker, director, producer, and editor with hands-on experience in feature films, documentaries, and commercial productions. My teaching approach focuses on practical learning, creative confidence, and helping students develop skills they can apply to their own projects.

My Teaching Approach

I believe filmmaking is best learned through practice. Rather than focusing exclusively on theory, I combine real-world examples, creative exercises, and personalized guidance. Whether you're learning video editing, directing, screenwriting, or film production, I'll tailor each lesson to your experience, interests, and goals.

What a Typical Lesson Looks Like

Each lesson begins with a discussion of your goals and current skill level. We'll introduce a specific filmmaking concept, explore how it's applied in professional productions, and work through a practical exercise together. I'll provide constructive feedback, answer questions, and help you identify areas for improvement.

Students are also welcome to bring their own scripts, footage, or projects to work on during our sessions.
