About Tamsin
As a freelance chef, I have over 15 years' experience creating cakes for both private and wholesale customers. I began as a self-taught baker, but went on to train in classical French patisserie at Le Cordon Bleu, and honed my skills working in 5* hotels, restaurants and bakeries around London.
I love sharing my passion for pastry and helping anyone build confidence in the kitchen, whether complete beginners or experienced home bakers looking to level up! My teaching style is patient, encouraging and practical, with a focus on understanding techniques so students can continue creating independently.

I'm happy to tailor the lessons to you! We could work on a particular dish, a selection of dishes or hone in on a technical element however large (e.g. how to make pastry) or small (e.g. how to fold batter).
Lesson length will depend on what you are looking to learn - but typical length will be 2-3 hours.
My experience as a tutor includes providing pastry chef consulting for independent bakeries in London, as well as running a nationwide baking kit company, where I created recipes and tutorials for a variety of sweet and savoury bakes. I also have taught baking classes to corporates via Zoom.
