Methodology

My approach to tutoring is based on analyzing and listening with deep attention at students’ needs and requests, being patient while motivating with positive and neutral critic.

I also responsibly acquire an appropriate teaching material and resources relating to individual students’ needs ensuring an up-to-date knowledge and a critical awareness about their level.

I use different books depending on students levels and several teaching material and resources acquired via masterclasses and lessons with important bakers and chefs.

I do teach:

French, English, Italian, Danish and some Australian pastries, cakes, cookies and loafs.
Sourdough bread.
Italian pasta sauces and pizza.

PERSONAL STATEMENT

My experience in pastries, ice creams, bread and pizza, sourdough, chocolates, cake decorating and more as a chef (acquired from employments and masterclasses) began at the age of 15.
Since 1990 I have worked in several pastry shops, bakery, restaurants, hotels and more.

A very reliable tutor, knowledgeable and able to explain lessons in easy to understand terms. He is patient and encouraging and works easily either in person, or via remote platforms such as Skype. I have found Mario to be also very diligent with time and will make up any time that may be lost due to any late start, on the rare occasions that this has happened. He is also very willing to accommodate any lesson changes that the student may need, even at short notice.

He is a very good teacher with lots of patience and goodwill.
