About Luciano
I am a professional percussionist with a Master of Music degree from the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music. I have performed with professional orchestras, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, where I completed a two-year percussion fellowship. My musical background includes orchestral percussion, drum set, and piano. I enjoy sharing my experience with students of all ages and skill levels, helping them develop their technique, musicianship, and confidence. I believe that every student learns differently, and I strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students can grow, explore their musical interests, and reach their goals.

My teaching approach focuses on building strong fundamentals, developing good technique, and helping students grow in confidence as musicians. Each lesson is tailored to the student's experience, goals, and learning style. We may work on technique, reading music, rhythm, repertoire, and musical expression, depending on the student's needs. I teach drum set, orchestral percussion, including snare drum, marimba, and timpani, as well as piano. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced student preparing for auditions or school ensembles, my goal is to make lessons engaging, supportive, and productive while helping you become a well-rounded musician.
