About Renan
Hi, I’m Renan. I am a Brazilian photographer based in Melbourne and father of three beautiful children. I’ve been photographing since childhood, always drawn to creativity in all its forms. My background in architecture and music shaped the way I see light, structure, and emotion — but it was photography that ultimately felt like home. Photography to me, is one of life's greatest gifts. It allows us to tell stories without words, to understand individuals or entire cultures, and to capture moments that resonate deeply, both within ourselves and the world around us.

My approach to tutoring is practical, supportive, and tailored to each student’s goals. I believe photography is best learned by doing, so my lessons combine clear explanations with slides, books and also hands-on camera. We focus on understanding the fundamentals first—camera settings, light, composition, and visual storytelling—then gradually build confidence and personal style. I also guide students through Lightroom editing step by step, making the process simple and easy to follow.
Lessons typically run for 50 minutes.
I’m a professional photographer with experience in creative and portrait photography, and I’ve spent years working with cameras, lighting, and post-production.
My lessons are suitable for beginners and intermediate photographers of all ages. Whether you’re picking up a camera for the first time, looking to improve your portraits, or wanting to learn how to edit confidently in Lightroom, I tailor each session to your level and interests.
