My teaching style varies - because art varies! Per lesson it's great to set each session as a practical and a theory based. This is a common mistake with photography, theory is key to your development and understanding of art.

The main focus of my teaching is to provide students with the knowledge and confidence to be able to use their cameras in a way that elevates their photographs from snapshots to pictures they'd be proud to put on their walls. From working in a college, there are so many ways to teach a subject. The way I prefer to teach is to have hands on tasks and let you experiment, making mistakes and then I can demonstrate ways to work around these. I also like to have visual handouts for you to work alongside with.
