About Amy
“Acting is the most personal of our crafts.”
The first words gifted to me by my mentor upon beginning my acting studies were the ones that make up the quote above.
The sentence that followed was, “Acting with logic is a waste of time. If you’re going to start with logic you might as well give up.”
It was only once I experienced the power of the Method first hand that I gained a deep emotional and psychological understanding of these statements and the significance they hold.
They have since become the most valuable and insightful messages to me as a devoted actress.
My aim is to encourage and support others who also admire acting and drama, passing on the fantastically powerful techniques I have learnt from world renowned teachers during my studies at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute.

I will teach aspiring actors/actresses some of the most effective dramatic techniques in order to deliver an authentic performance: relaxation, sense memory, character building, substitution and ‘need + motivation + action.’
Oftentimes I will ask students to either prepare a monologue of their choice or provide a script for a ‘cold reading.’
I will then give verbal and written feedback and ways in which improvement can be made.
