About Mieka
I am an avid reader and writer who has tutored English online for many years. I use a rather simple technique where the student must come rather prepared, which in being a master procrastinator in the past, I know can be quite difficult, but I highly encourage it. My goal is to instil skill and confidence in essay writing so that my services are no longer needed, and this tends occur after only a few sessions. Please reach out if you are interested! :)

I have found that learning how to write a great essay is best when the student comes with either an old or upcoming assessment piece and any available marking criteria. I then like to sit with the student for at least an hour as we go through their writing alongside the criteria, unpacking and re-writing it in a way that would help them secure an A-grade. This is a highly collaborative approach for which the student needs to come prepared, but hopefully after a couple of sessions will need no further aid. I have tutored for many years and prior experience has proven it to be an incredibly effective method.
