About Ratan
Growing up, my academic support from school was really limited and it was taboo to seek additional help. Let's fight this norm together, and help you achieve your highest potential no matter what it takes!
I have tutored primary school children, A-level students and university students alike. There's nothing more rewarding than watching a student's 'Eureka!' moment when they understand a concept you're trying to teach.
That said, tutors have these moments too. Teaching is bi-directional and there is so much to learn from your own students.

My lessons will always be tailored to you- we will determine what works best for your learning!
1) We will start with what help you need and your problem areas.
2) Then discuss how you learn (mind-mapping, flashcards, rote-learning), to help me understand your approach to studying. Would be awesome if you could show me an example of your notes here.
3) After this 15-20 min chat, I will look over the content of your specific board (i.e. Edexcel, OCR, AQA) and develop a learning plan in my own time.
4) We will reconvene for our first class together- 1 hour long, divided into 3 parts. Covering the theory/reading in a way that best facilitates your understanding, examples of application, then we will attempt some exam questions (both with/without time conditions).
5) You can give me feedback and I will tailor the classes in a way that fits you best!
6) I will expect that you make notes during the class if required, but the majority be done after class and revised consistently till our next class. You will also get homework, sounds like a pain...but it REALLY helps!
