I would ideally be tutoring students aged 13-18. I would normally ask them where their weakness are and build confidence there by sharing revision techniques and teaching through a collaborative examples and supported learning. I love to give advice to allow students to develop their independent study and give a positive student perspective.
I am an A* student studying Psychology at Edinburgh University. My A-Levels are in Maths, English Literature and Psychology achieving A-A*. I have experience tutoring at school and still have great rescources and revision to share from my own studies.
I have a confirmed place to study Philosophy and Psychology MA at the University of Edinburgh, so I’m interested in working part time. I am friendly and reliable, and I am confident academically with achieving A-A* throughout school and I would love to help others understand how to achieve in a similar way.
Studying Psychology is a great passion for me, so I am very interested in how children learn and improving how we learn through Educational Psychology. Therefore I am knowledgeable in revision techniques to improve memory, such as “The rule of Seven” and “Chunking”.
All my A- Levels and GCSEs are A*-A, so although I am not a teacher I have good academic understanding from a student perspective which will hopefully help me connect with other students well.
