About Emily
I am currently a third-year student at Oberlin College majoring in Psychology and Politics and minoring in Statistics. This semester (Spring 2025), I am starting my Honors Psychology project as well as working in a research lab. I am also a teaching assistant for Intro to Psychology, and was previously (Fall 2024- and Fall 2025!) a teaching assistant for Research Methods in psychology.

I will always start with going over basic concepts with my student, as I believe the most important part of learning comes from having a solid foundation of knowledge. As a tutor, I cannot know what my student knows unless I clarify that with them at the beginning. Going from there, making sure that they grasp each concept before moving on from them is also something I believe to be incredibly important, while also making sure that they are able to complete the necessary work for their class.
