About Mari
I am an English Literature and Creative Writing graduate living in Norwich. I have been tutoring since I was a student myself. I am a writer and have been published in print and online in the local area and nationally. My specialisms are in Reading, Creative Writing, Poetry and Comparative Literature. I have tutored children from Primary School age up. The students that I have taught have successfully completed the 11+ exam in Non-verbal reasoning and SATs in English. I have lots of experience working with children as I have also previously worked as a nanny for children of all ages.

My teaching style is largely based making sure the student is happy and confident whilst learning. I try to make my lessons fun and engaging whilst also offering practical skills and 'insider knowledge' from having completed many English-based qualifications myself. My lesson plans tend to start with covering the foundation skills needed for the relevant qualification being studied, in order to improve the student's confidence. The student's lessons end with test papers, quizzes and trouble-shooting sessions to ensure that the student is happy and prepared before the exam.
