About Estella
Hello! I am a sophomore in university studying pure mathematics, with an applied maths and statistics (AMS) 2nd major, and minor in philosophy (3.87 GPA). I am passionate about math -- I see it as a creative field that makes you a better thinker and problem-solver. I'm also an artist (9+ years), so I enjoy creative thinking and make my lessons as intuitive and interesting as possible.
I've tutored many family members and friends over the course of my high school and college years and have always received feedback like "You taught this so much better than my teacher" or "Wow this is actually not as hard as I thought." The ability to make a person believe they are capable of doing and achieving more than they initially believed is beyond rewarding, and so I am here in hopes of changing more people's lives. :)

- I like to teach by explaining the why behind central concepts that help one understand the logic so that the process of memorizing and applying said concepts becomes easier. I'll make sure you're able to ace your tests not by memorization, but by true understanding.
- I'm patient when it comes to teaching, especially with math as it's not the easiest subject and may not come naturally for many. I will try to analyze what is and isn't working and adapt to your learning style.
- A typical lesson plan includes brain breaks, lessons that are taught in a novel and interesting manner, and constant feedback between you (the learner) and me (the tutor)
- Lessons are best suited for high-school to 1st and 2nd years in college
