About Dan
Physics isn't just formulae and equations – it's the universe explained!
My passion for science is contagious, and I love helping students unlock the wonders of the physical world. As a qualified teacher, I've driven schools to record-breaking Physics results, even fostering an increase in A-level uptake.
My secret? Enthusiasm and a knack for breaking down complex concepts into clear, relatable steps. This dedication has led every single one of my tutees to achieve top grades (Level 8/9 at GCSE or A/A* at A-Level).
Let's unlock your Physics potential together!

I believe in a personalised approach to learning that caters to your individual needs. I utilise a mix of clear explanations, engaging visuals, and interactive exercises to solidify understanding. Lessons typically last for 60 minutes, but can be adjusted to your schedule and preferred pace.
As a qualified Physics and Science teacher with a B.Sc. and PGCE, I have experience helping students of all secondary school levels, from those just starting their Physics and Science journey to those looking to excel in their final exams.
My goal is to not only equip you with the knowledge to succeed in Physics and Science, but also to foster a genuine curiosity and confidence in the subject.

Dan is one of the best communicators I know - he’s also a great listener and really understanding + patient (all great qualities in a tutor). More than that, he’s reliable - I can count on Dan for anything!
Dan tutored our daughter last year and helped her to her level 9 in Physics GCSE. We've already recommended him to our daughters classmates and can happily recommend him for anyone looking for a Physics tutor
Dan helped my two eldest through both their GCSEs and then Physics A-levels. He is clearly knowledgable, and adapted his time with each of them to their different needs, and they both really enjoyed their time with him. It's still a couple of years before our youngest will be taking her GCSEs but we'll certainly be reaching out to him again!
Dan is a really great tutor. He’s a fully qualified teacher which really shows in the quality of his tutoring.
He’s knowledgeable, patient, engaging and his lessons incredibly valuable.View more recommendations
