About Newton
I am an ACARA qualified teacher with 3 years of experience in private tutoring of mathematics and general science for HSC students. With my background in problem solving and analytical thinking, I am able to explain difficult concepts clearly and patiently. I am reliable, punctual, and dedicated to the progress of each student, adapting my methods to different learning styles and providing a structured and supportive learning environment.

My style of tutoring is active learning and step-by-step problem solving. I go back to the basics of each topic before moving on to harder problems, assist with real HSC past papers, visual diagrams, and guided practice. The session starts with a diagnostic to identify gaps, concept reinforcement, worked examples, and independent problems with error analysis. Lessons are usually 60 or 90 minutes long and are adapted to the student’s goals and attention span. I am a qualified engineer graduate and have three years of experience in one-to-one tutoring. I have successfully helped more than 20 high school students to raise their grades by at least one band. My lessons are targeted for Year 6 up to Year 12 students (age 10–18) studying HSC mathematics (advanced & extension) and general science.
