I have been a teacher for fourteen years and a patent for seven. Not only am inpatient and understanding but I have a passion for teaching all levels and abilities. My main subject is in English- early reading and writing, creative writing and primary literacy right up to poetry, GCSE exam help and literature. I’m available to do catch-up help and exam prep for SATs, entrance exams and GCSE’s or simply homework help and supporting those who need additional guidance.
Although English is my main subject I can also help with all primary subjects and willing to do support Turoring in secondary subjects such as coursework support, geography, humanities, food technology, performing arts, history, and KS3 maths and science.
My undergraduate degree is in English and media and my PGCE is in secondary English teaching. All necessary DBS checks are in place and willing to travel locally in the north east or teach online via most major platforms.
I became a teacher because I want to see as many students achieve as possible. The classroom is not always the easiest environment to learn and sometimes 1 to 1 help can be the difference between grades. I’m very patient and willing to always go at a pace set by a student that meets their needs. I have found that confidence builds up quickly when you have a good support basis and having that extra boost can mean a better performance in school too. As a mainstream teacher I know how quickly lessons move and sometimes there can be a need for temporary help outside in order to achieve better in school and meet expectations.
