About Jodie
I am particularly passionate about supporting children with communication needs and helping ensure the world feels accessible, inclusive, and understanding for every child. I strongly believe that every child deserves to have their voice heard, whether they communicate through speech, visuals, signing, assistive technology, or other forms of communication.
I love helping children build confidence in expressing themselves and creating environments where they feel safe, understood, and valued. Using a total communication approach, I aim to adapt learning and communication styles to meet each child’s individual needs and strengths.

Hi, I’m Jodie, a qualified SEND teacher with experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, communication needs, and additional learning needs across primary education.
I am passionate about creating a calm, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every child feels safe, understood, and able to succeed at their own pace. I strongly believe in a total communication approach and adapt lessons to suit each child’s individual needs, whether that includes visual supports, structured routines, sensory breaks, or alternative ways of communicating.
I have experience supporting children with: • Autism • ADHD • SEMH needs • Speech, language and communication difficulties • Literacy and phonics intervention • Maths intervention (at KS1/2) • Emotional regulation and confidence building.
My tutoring sessions are tailored to each learner and focus not only on academic progress, but also on building confidence, independence, and enjoyment in learning.
I understand that many children can find traditional learning environments overwhelming, so I aim to make sessions relaxed, positive, and accessible for all learners.
I offer patient, understanding support and work closely with families to ensure children feel encouraged and celebrated every step of the way.
