About Emily
Hi! I’m Emily, a qualified primary school teacher (QTS, PGCE), and I absolutely love helping children discover that they can learn and succeed - even when something feels tricky at first. I became a teacher because I’m passionate about building confidence and helping children feel proud of themselves, not just improving their grades. I believe everyone learns differently, and part of my job is finding the way that works best for you.
In my lessons, you can expect kindness, patience, and encouragement, but also challenges that help you grow. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating your progress, because that’s how real learning happens. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling more confident, more capable, and ready to take on new challenges.

My lessons are personalised to each child, focusing on their individual strengths, gaps, and goals. I use clear step-by-step explanations, modelling, and guided practice before moving to independent work, adapting the level of support or challenge throughout so children feel both successful and stretched.
Sessions are engaging and positive, often incorporating games, practical resources, and topics that interest the child to keep motivation high. My aim is that children leave each lesson feeling more confident, proud of their progress, and with a clear understanding of what they have learnt and how to improve next time.
