Qualified teacher with over 30 years of experience teaches maths, biology, chemistry, physics and combined science up to GCSE. In person, one-to-one in Darlington.

I was recommended Rachel by a teacher and neighbour. My daughter had experienced a lot of trauma in her life and was unable to attend secondary school for her last two crucial years. Ruby's school assessed her at foundation maths and combined science.

Rachel was the ideal tutor for Ruby, so sensitive to her needs and soon spotted the academic potential in Ruby, believing she could move up to advanced maths and single sciences. The outcome was amazing; instead the schools predicted 3 GCSEs, Ruby gained 5 including English Language. She achieved 7's in Chemistry and Physics and 6 in Biology. Currently Ruby achieving A* B and B at A level. I would not hesitate in recommending Rachel to anyone who needs a special person and tutor.

Rachel is a terrific teacher! She worked alongside our son from the start and gave him the confidence in his own abilities that he’d been lacking. He came out of every lesson happy and motivated to keep going. It paid off and he got GCSE results to be proud of and which have set him up for the next stage. Rachel is knowledgeable, goes the extra mile to support children and is brilliant at helping young people fulfil their potential. Rachel cares about her students and that makes a huge difference on the outcomes - which is evident in the results and positive attitude to learning of our child and others we know who have been tutored by her. Highly recommended!
