About Edwin
I’m a student at University of California, Irvine. I’m studying computer science with 5 years of tutoring experience teaching all math 7-12th grade. Recently I have been involved in chemistry, logic, and physics tutoring. I have taught at labs, and assisted peers at a college level. I have an aspiring passion for teaching computer science, and if it comes to a project I would want to teach the student "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

I can teach that multitude of courses. I enjoy teaching computer science, whether that be Scratch, Python, or C++ because I like to re-instill concepts in my mind. Concepts include data structures, variable naming, formatting, understanding code, understanding and writing pseudocode, documentation lookup, and software testing. I also teach algorithms such as divide and conquer, dynamic programming, and greedy algorithms. It's my goal to give my students the "Aha!" moments. Questions off the current topic will also be addressed. Students typically come with their own material, but the option to learn concepts without it is also welcome. My rate is $60/hour.
