About Gabrielle
I am an Electrical Engineering Student who really enjoyed both English and Mathematics in high school. I have previously studied 2 years full-time of a Bachelor of Speech Pathology but desired something more challenging. Throughout this degree, however, I was fortunate enough to use diagnostic tools to make assessments of children's Speech and Literacy, as well as treat them in the most fun and engaging ways that I could think of. I have experience tutoring primary and high-school aged children with Maths, English, Phonetics & Linguistics, Reading and Literacy. I have also participated in many Edmund Rice Camps. I love teaching!

My style of teaching is to make the student feel very relaxed. I ensure them that they can ask as many questions as they like and that they never feel embarrassed to ask anything. I would say that my approach is definitely geared towards quieter children who struggle to participate in active discussions in the classroom, as I was one of those kids! I structure my tutoring by ensuring that the student has a real-world understanding of the topic by asking them thought-provoking questions. This aims to give a deeper and long-lasting learning experience.
