About Tom
Hi, I'm Tom!
I am a Scottish piano player located in the East end of Glasgow. I recently graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a BMus in Performance. I have been playing for 10+ years, and have previous experience as a tutor. I also have an ABRSM teaching diploma, and am PVG certified.
I mainly enjoy playing classical and jazz, however I love exploring new styles of music. I'm excited to discover the music you love, and explore it in our lessons. I have a great knowledge of music theory, which I will apply to our lessons. I will also teach you to read music and play by ear.
Overall, I'm a music lover and my main goal is to share this with my students.

Our lessons together will be tailored to your individual needs. I'm always open to tutoring different styles of music, and would love to help you explore the music you enjoy in our lessons. The main focus is that you are comfortable and find enjoyment in developing your skills.
I will ensure that you develop a good playing technique, so you can play freely, without any tension. I will help you become a competent music reader and play by ear. There will also be a focus on music theory, as I believe this is important in your overall skills as a pianist. I am happy to help across all abilities and ages (PVG certified), whether you are a beginner, or a more advanced player.
Lessons will be located in my home in the East End of Glasgow. I'm also happy to travel to an alternative location if more suitable to your needs. Lesson duration is flexible, with shortest lessons being 30 minutes, and longest being 60 minutes.
