About Cher

I am a Literacy and Dyslexia specialist teacher based in the magnificent city of Edinburgh. With a background in primary teaching and SpLD education, my area of specialisation lies in literacy and dyslexia support.

After completing a Bachelor of Education degree in 2005 I then went on to further my studies whilst teaching, obtaining an Award in Literacy and Dyslexia, accredited by the British Dyslexia Association. I am registered with the General Teaching Council of Scotland and am a member of the PVG scheme/ Disclosure Scotland.

I am passionate about education and learning through experience and I pride myself on adopting a multi-sensory approach to learning using a variety of mediums and methodologies. I predominantly work with children 5-18years through private tuition and small literacy group intervention.

My extensive background in teaching has proven to be invaluable in helping those with difficulties succeed.
