About James
BA (Hons) in Acting from ArtsEd. I taught on their Saturday school and holiday courses whilst studying and continue to teach there. My experience lies in stage and screen having performed in venues such The Globe, Bush Theatre and Chichester Festival Theatre.
Past students have got into NYT courses, ArtsEd 6th form and Italia Conti to name a few.

I structure my teaching around the core principles of actor training which have aided my development as an actor, drawing on techniques from Stanislavski, Meisner, Michael Chekhov, Mike Leigh etc. I have tailored exercises and techniques to accommodate different age groups to encourage the best work from my students. My only other rule is that it has to be fun. In my experience the more fun the learning can be the better the results. After all, it's supposed to be an enjoyable job for all involved!
