About Raffy
Having undertaken rigorous revision and exam preparation myself, I understand that learning is not a 'one size fits all process'. I believe it is important to work with students to understand which approaches work best for them; therefore, I like to use various revision tactics that have proven successful for myself and others.
At University, I undertook an extended dissertation project in which I had to study and revise independently for a 10,000 word essay. The final piece received the highest grade in my cohort, exemplifying the importance of my approach to breaking down studies into manageable segments. At A level, I produced two pieces of coursework, also receiving top grades.
In the past, I have provided structured and effective workshops to help people create pieces of work they are proud of. I understand how studying can feel overwhelming as the exam period draws in, but with consistent practice these feelings should be no bother to students.

Lessons lasting 45-90mins allows the student and tutor alike to focus in on specific areas of the curriculum. I believe it is important to have regular short breaks in the lesson, so that the brain can rest before mental fatigue sets in! Using these time slots, it is possible to transform modules from overwhelming and scary to manageable and memorable.
Having received an undergraduate degree as well as three A grade A levels (Drama, English Literature and History) I am well versed in revision, essay planning and exam/coursework preparation. At University, I was a peer mentor; I helped new students grapple with their workload and provide various helpful techniques to break down the initially overwhelming workload to a manageable and constant stream of studying.
