About Jacob
I have tutored and assisted in a lab setting for my junior and senior years of college while on my way to a degree in chemistry. What my peers gained was a clearer understanding of concepts and a stronger understanding of how concepts build and relate.

My approach to teaching is to help give context to the different topics learned in class to help bolster understanding and hopefully improve enjoyment of the course. I listen attentively and ask question of my own to better parse out what specifically is causing confusion. Most importantly I aim to boost confidence in ones ability in a subject; I believe everyone is able to improve in a subject, sometimes it just takes a different approach.
