About Marie

In my journey of obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences from Oregon State, I quickly learned that communication and teaching is what I am the most passionate about. From interacting with scientists at research conferences to hosting middle school lectures, I soon realized my favorite part about conservation is teaching those about the wonders of the world. However, to grasp these concepts in their entirety, students need to have foundational knowledge that stems from math, writing, and various sciences. In turn, I hope to use my experience gained from my degree and working within various research labs to help learners of all ages grasp topics.

About the lesson

Whether it’s middle school ecology or college-level biology, I create engaging, hands-on lessons that encourage long term memory and retention. I’m flexible and creative, always ready to tailor activities or approaches to match your unique learning style both in and out of ecological science!
