I believe learning involves building on a sound existing foundation & integrating acquired knowledge into preexisting experiences to facilitate consolidation. With this in mind I approach topics by first assessing my students' foundational knowledge on the topic, if it is faulty I'll help the student correct it if not I'll build on that. By taking my topic & breaking it into its component parts then analyzing each component thoroughly, after which, I'll give a comprehensive summary of the major components. Finally, I'll assess my students' knowledge on the topic to ensure understanding
