About Kirti
I specialise in Logic, Arithmetic, Algebra, and Trigonometry, but more importantly, I specialise in clarity. When a student feels stuck, it’s rarely because maths is “too hard.” It’s usually because a small foundational step was missed. I find that gap quickly, fix it properly, and everything starts to make sense again.
To me, maths isn’t about memorising formulae and hoping they fit. It’s about recognising patterns, thinking logically, and understanding how ideas connect. Once students see the structure behind a topic, confidence replaces confusion.
I teach both Foundation and Higher Tier students. Whether someone is aiming to secure a solid pass or push towards Grades 7–9, the approach stays consistent: clear explanations, structured progression, and exam-focused precision.
Here’s what that looks like in practice:
• Step-by-step breakdowns that simplify complex ideas
• Strong emphasis on logical reasoning, not guesswork
• Exam strategy that focuses on marks, not just answers
• Purposeful practice with detailed feedback
• A calm, supportive environment where questions are encouraged
My lessons are structured but relaxed. Focused but never intimidating. I’m patient, approachable, and fully invested in each student’s progress because I know confidence changes everything. When students understand why something works, they start trusting their own thinking.
If you’re looking for a GCSE Maths tutor who brings clarity, structure, and smart exam strategy together to create measurable improvement, I’d be delighted to help you move forward with confidence.

My lessons are built around one simple idea: if you truly understand the logic behind maths, confidence follows naturally. We don’t just learn formulae. We break them apart, see why they work, and use them with purpose.
Here’s how I teach.
First, foundations come first. Whether it’s Logic, Arithmetic, Algebra, or Trigonometry, every topic is unpacked step by step. No rushing. No blind memorising. Students understand the “why” before they ever worry about the “how”.
Second, we train the brain to think mathematically. Maths is structured reasoning. I show students how to read a question carefully, spot patterns, plan their steps, and move through multi-step problems without panic.
Practice is never random. It’s intentional. We start with clear worked examples. Then difficulty builds gradually. Then come targeted questions. Then exam-style challenges. Each stage strengthens accuracy and confidence.
And here’s the part many students miss: exam technique. Knowing maths isn’t the same as scoring marks. I teach students how to read mark schemes, present clear working, avoid common traps, manage time under pressure, and approach higher-tier questions strategically.
Every student begins with a short assessment so I can see exactly where they stand. From there, lessons are tailored to their level, whether Foundation or Higher Tier, and focused on their target grade.
A typical lesson feels structured but relaxed:
– Quick recap
– Clear explanation
– Guided practice
– Independent exam questions
– Direct feedback with a clear improvement plan
The atmosphere is calm. Questions are encouraged. Mistakes are part of learning. Progress is measured and visible.
Whether the goal is securing a strong pass or pushing for Grades 7–9, I provide structure, clarity, and the exam strategy needed to get there.
If you’d like to arrange a trial lesson, I’d be happy to help your child build real confidence in maths.
