About Karen
I am a retired elementary school teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience. I have taught as a reading specialist, a classroom teacher and a homebound tutor. I have thoroughly enjoyed each one of those positions. I have had many parents request that I work with their child over the summer to help get him / her caught up with their reading. So, I have plenty of experience tutoring as well.

I believe you would really enjoy my reading lessons! One reason is that I keep you actively engaged during the entire lesson so the time flies by quickly. I have such a variety of teaching techniques from my years of teaching that I am continually introducing new ways of learning how to read or read better. I am a patient teacher who will give you my full attention and notice how you learn best. I will then create lessons that compliment your learning style so that you enjoy the lessons we do together even more. I can't wait to meet you!!
