I was in my early 40s when I decided to return to university to pursue a second bachelor's degree in the sciences. It was my pleasure and good fortune to have had the opportunity to take several courses and labs with Mark Hardies, including calculus-based Physics for majors and Differential Equations.

Mark has a talent for breaking down even the most complex subjects into easily understood, clear and concise concepts. Above all, he is a patient and modest person, which is all the more remarkable given his supreme competence in the fields he has taught.

Mr. Hardies was a professor of mine at a local community college here on the Gulf Coast of Florida. It took one calculus math class to know I would be rearranging class schedule around his teaching availability.
