I have just retired after more than 25 years of teaching in sixth form colleges in the independent sector. I teach 11 plus, 13 plus, KS3, GCSE and A level students. I always explain the topics, discuss few examples and do problem solving during the lessons. This is followed by some homework and solving past papers. It also helps them to learn exam techniques.
I have been teaching private students since my university days in the late seventies in Birmingham. Good results are a combination of the effort of the students and the guidance by the tutor. Over the years, I had a good mixtures of success. Quite a few of my students went to study medicine and dentistry.
All shared lessons , group of 3/4 students.
GCSE costs £15 per hour
A level costs £20 per hour
For lesson at student's place, the charges are higher.
I have completed my Ph.D from University of Aston in Birmingham in 1985. My research was sponsored by the Ministry of Defence.
In my college I taught Maths and Chemistry up to A level in addition to GCSE students.
