I like to get to know my students individually before I decide on methodology; it's important to know how you learn and what you respond to. I'll then prep lessons beforehand and check in with you post-session to make improvements to our course of study as we go.
I am a recent graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where I studied to be an actor and playwright. My third play was due to premiere in March 2020 at the Charing Cross Theatre, but was suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic (now premiering July 2021), and so in the past year I have begun tutoring alongside my creative work. I taught at Pinner High School (years 8 and 9) during my degree (2018-2019) and found it incredibly rewarding; and have continued working part-time in education ever since. I am an excellent English tutor, particularly with English Literature and writing for stage; a highly skilled mathematician with a love for teaching Maths to those who may find it challenging, and am an intelligent, dedicated teacher keen on connecting with my students in a way that heightens their education to a place of confidence, clarity and enjoyment.

I am a 24 year old actor and writer, recently graduated from the three year BA at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where I graduated in December 2019 (with upper second class honours). I am a committed and hardworking individual, with years experience curating and producing events in arts and theatre, working as an actor and as a writer/theatre reviewer; in PR and marketing; and I have years’ experience tutoring, working with children (ages 6-16), teaching and nannying. I am confident and outgoing, comfortable working with people and the public, and am passionate about teaching and working with children (I have taught both young children and teenagers, and enjoyed experiences of both!). Please find below my history of employment, outline of skills and relevant experience. I have mostly worked in film, theatre, TV and education (please see below for references).
In 2015, as part of the Prospect Theatre Company (Farnborough), I toured the country giving drama workshops devised around rehearsal techniques and movement exercises to secondary school classes over a period of six months. Once I began my degree at Central in 2016 , I continued to teach part time around my studies: representing Divergent Drama, I covered several drama classes across London, as well as touring primary schools in Stoke-on-Trent in March 2019 hosting Shakespeare-focused drama and English workshops for ages 6-8. I began teaching drama at Pinner High School in January 2019, and continued to teach there twice a week whilst completing my degree throughout the year. After graduating from Central, I was offered the role of Thomas Becket in the UK comedy musical tour of “A Turbulent Priest”, and travelled the country with the tour from August-November. I currently tutor Maths for KS2 and KS4 (GCSE Higher- including exam prep), as well as English, Drama and Geography.

I met Freya 3 years ago on a job and can attest that she is kind, energetic, creative, thoughtful, and fun. Her creativity and eagerness to communicate clearly will put at the top of the list for any communicative position, including tutoring scenarios. I would recommend her highly.
Sophia Priolo, Actor
Freya is one of the most knowledgeable and enthusiastic people that I have ever met! She has the rare ability to explain things to you in a way that not only boosts your confidence but also bolsters your own independent learning. Her enthusiasm for everything that she does really shines through when she teaches, and you can’t help but also become enamoured with whatever subject she’s explaining. I’ve known Freya for over a decade and she’s helped me on countless occasions with my maths, each time she’s made the process very thorough but also fun and informative. 10/10 would recommend!!
