About Patrick
I have an excellent academic record, and have tutored undergraduate students as part of my Masters course. I have tutored several GCSE and A-Level students and have helped them to achieve their desired grade.
I have acted in many theatre productions, made it through RADA auditions and written and directed for theatre, which gives me the experience to prepare students for assessed performances and auditions.

I have a Masters in Shakespeare and Theatre Studies (English Lit based) and a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Classical Literature and Civilisation from the University of Birmingham, which is in the top 10 in the UK for English.
This makes me a perfect candidate to give instruction to Secondary School students up to GCSE and A-Level and undergraduate University students in English or Classics, or both. I can also tutor adults doing an English exam. I also have experience in Acting and Theatre for Drama students or someone looking to audition for drama school.
I will teach students how to analyse texts in greater depth, develop critical techniques and interpret language. I am passionate and patient, happy to work with a child struggling to get that crucial C or above in GCSE or an A-Level student needing that extra push to get an A or A*. I am especially adept at teaching verse speaking, crucial for a Shakespeare (or contemporary) monologue needed for most major drama schools.
