About Nilanjan
Nilanjan Sen Gupta
An exemplary musician who is deft at playing Tabla, Pakhawaj, Duff, Djembe, Khol, Dholak and many other Instruments. He is a Performer, Teacher and Composer. He has been persuing professional music for over three decades now.
He is a disciple of Pandit Munshi Lal Ji and Ustad Sabir Khan Saheb and well trained in Delhi and Farrukhabad Gharana Tabla Vadan. In his childhood Nilanjan performed in Bongo oikko Sammelon in Burdwan West Bengal, Durgapur Music circle, Sangeet Sammelan Asansol, Sur O Vani Kolkata etc.Nilanjan is Sangeet Visharad from Prachin kala Kendra Chandigarh. He is running his institute Shrutichhand very successfully...his disciples become successful musicians in Bollywood, Ethno Group and they are performing in many other musical concerts around the Globe. Nilanjan performes at India's National T.V. channel Doordarshan.
Nilanjan has been performing in different corner of India. He has been performing in Greece and China also. His composition on different Indian classical ragas mesmerized audience .He is associated with different organisations like Impresario India Bengal Association and many others.His mind blowing accompaniment with many popular maestros of India and abroad like Vidushi Ashwini Bhinde Ji ( Mumbai),Shri Shounak chattopadhyay (Kolkata), famous Tappa singer Shri Joydev Chatterjee(Kolkata) Shri Sagnik Sen(Kolkata)Smt. Kamalini Mukherjee (USA) Smt. Shama Rehman (Bangladesh), Shree Bubul Islam(Bangladesh), Smt. Sultana Chaudhury( Bangladesh)Smt. Aditi Gupta(Kolkata), Smt.Riddhi Bandopadhyay(Kolkata), Shree Suprotik Das( Kolkata),
Shree Shamik Pal( Kolkata) is very impressive.His Bangla Dhol and Tabla rendition with eminent actor and Singer Shree Neel Sujon Mukherjee is remarkable. Nilanjan also accompanied very well with eminent folk maestro Shree Swapan Mukherjee at Sangeet Natak academy. Recently Nilanjan accompanied rhythm in Bengali short movie "Bengal 1947" which has been displayed in Bengal International Film festival 2024. His excellent accompaniment with Santoor maestro Shree Prabhat Mukherjee at India International Trade Fair this year.He is also invited as a honourable Judge in many musical competition.
He is working as a Instrumental Teacher in Delhi Public School , Noida since last 21 years.Also the Institute Shrutichhand under guidence of Shri Nilanjan since 2000
