About Siddharth

I scored a 1580 on the SAT with a perfect 800 in Math and studied Physics at UCLA. My tutoring approach was shaped by training under Shaan Patel's SAT program, which I've refined over years of one-on-one work into a diagnostic method focused on finding the actual reasoning gaps behind a student's mistakes.

What makes me different is the lens I bring. I spent five years as a health and performance consultant working with clients managing ADHD, anxiety, chronic fatigue, and focus issues. I know how to recognize when a student's problem isn't the material but something underneath it, whether that's sleep, stress, cognitive load, or study habits that look productive but aren't. Most tutors don't think about that. I do, because I've lived it and worked in it professionally.

I tutor SAT prep, Algebra through Calculus, Physics, analytical writing, and college admissions essays. I work primarily with high schoolers, and I'm direct with both students and parents about what I see and what needs to change. If your student is capable but underperforming, I can help them close that gap.

My teaching method starts with diagnosis. Before I assign a single practice problem, I figure out where a student's reasoning actually breaks down. Most SAT struggles and math difficulties trace back to a few core gaps that get papered over by memorization. I trained under Shaan Patel's SAT program early on, which gave me a diagnostic framework I've since refined through years of one-on-one work. In STEM subjects, I teach from first principles. I'd rather a student understand why a formula works than watch them plug numbers into something they'll forget in a week.
A typical session starts with a short review of what the student worked on independently, so I can see how they think when I'm not in the room. From there, I work through targeted problems chosen to expose a specific weakness, and I teach through those problems in real time rather than lecturing and then assigning work. For SAT prep, that means breaking down question design and teaching students to recognize what the test is actually measuring. For math and physics, it means building fluency with underlying concepts before layering on complexity. I adjust pacing based on how the student responds, not a predetermined script.
What separates me from most tutors is that I treat the student as a whole person. I spent five years as a health and performance consultant working with clients dealing with ADHD, anxiety, chronic fatigue, and focus problems. I grew up managing severe insomnia in a high-pressure academic household, so I understand performance from both sides. When a student is stuck, I look at sleep, stress, screen habits, and mental load alongside the academics, because no strategy works if the foundation underneath it is crumbling.
I work with high school students preparing for the SAT, AP-level math and science courses, and college admissions. I also tutor analytical and persuasive writing, and I coach students through Common App and supplemental essays. If your student is putting in effort but not getting results, or performing below what they're capable of under pressure, that's exactly where I do my best work.
