About Jena
I am a science educator with experience teaching in many different areas such as the public and private school classroom; large zoo education and health education at a world renowned cancer hospital. I have a passion for sharing science and using it to motivate students to want to learn more. I taught 7-12 grade science courses around the US, then created science based programs at a zoo in Idaho and then Utah. My last education position was for 4 years at Huntsman Cancer Institute where I taught cancer programs and provided reliable cancer information to patients, visitors, and the community.

My teaching method is to engage each student according to their learning needs. I enjoy asking questions to help lead students to answers , information, discovery, and inquiry. Each topic I like to approach with engaging introductions, unique facts, and when possible hands in learning.
