About Iris
I am a third-year Sciences Po Paris student currently studying at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra. My Bachelor’s degree focuses on Political Humanities, International Relations and Europe–North America, and my studies have given me a strong academic background in politics, international affairs, history, conflict and security.
Before university, I specialized in History, Geography, Geopolitics and Political Science during my French Baccalauréat, which I completed with highest honors. At Sciences Po and ANU, I have continued to develop my skills in academic research, critical reading, essay writing and analysis of political and international issues.
I also have experience providing one-on-one tutoring and academic support. I understand that Political Science and International Relations can sometimes feel overwhelming because of the amount of theory, terminology and academic reading involved, so I aim to break complex ideas down into clear and manageable concepts.
My goal is to help students understand the material while developing the analytical and writing skills they need to become more confident and independent in their studies.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s course, level and academic goals. I can help with understanding political science and international relations concepts, working through academic readings, preparing for exams, planning essays and developing stronger arguments.
Sessions can cover topics such as international relations theories, international security, conflict, political institutions, foreign policy, geopolitics and contemporary international affairs, depending on the student’s curriculum.
For essays and assignments, I focus on helping students formulate a clear research question, develop a strong thesis, structure their argument, use academic sources effectively and critically engage with different perspectives. I can also help with reading strategies, note-taking, research and referencing.
A typical lesson lasts around one hour and can be based directly on your current course material, readings or assignments.
My lessons are best suited to senior secondary and undergraduate students looking for support with Political Science, International Relations or related subjects.
