About Alison
I am a scientific researcher with a passion for science which I enjoy to pass on to students. I have a bachelor's degree in science from Trinity College Dublin where I studied various fields of science and maths. I have a PhD from University College Dublin during which I researched bees and their pollination of crops and also studied statistics in depth. I have tutored students for the past 10 years including primary school, secondary school , and university level subjects in addition to tutoring students who just have an interest in science and would like to learn more. I really enjoy getting the opportunity to tutor 1-1 or small groups to have the opportunity to tailor lessons exactly to the students needs and achieve their desired goals from these lessons.

I aim to adapt my lessons and teaching style to the students needs and preferences. I have tutored many students in the past and have knowlegde on how learning styles may differ between students. For example, some may benefit from information uptake visually via diagrams, aurally, or scribing, with which I will adapt my lessons accordingly. I also strive to share my passion and interest for the sciences with students to help with motivating their learning of the subject.
