I have learned so much about teaching in the more than 20 years I have worked in classrooms. I try as much as possible to get students to relate class lessons to their own experience. I like to talk about world events and culture, especially music (I am a fan of Rock, Jazz, and Dance Music)

My approach as a tutor begins by getting to know the student and their needs. The information this will generate will inform my choice of instructional strategies and draw up a personalized lesson plan. The next step will be to get the student's parents to agree with the plan.
What sets me apart as a teacher/tutor is my genuine love for this profession and my love of seeing students learn something.
I have taught English (Literature, Grammar, Reading, Spelling, and Writing to students in Elementary, Middle School, High School, and University.
