My teaching approach is methodical and meticulous. When learning new concepts and ideas, I find it is important to understand the basics first, then build upwards from there. I know that everyone has a different learning style and can adapt to suit the learner/learners. With science and abstract thinking, I think visual learning works best, so I will provide visual aids, diagrams and flow charts to consolidate topics. My work starts by looking at the specification as I know that the exam is the ultimate goal, teaching is focused and structured as to not miss any important details, however, it is important to make education fun and accessible so I always try and grab the interest of whomever I am teaching by applying what they are learning to real life.
I am a Biomedicine student at the University of East Anglia. I love science, psychology, health, nutrition and fitness. I enjoy staying active and learning new things. I have 5 years of experience babysitting (which would involve helping with homework) and some experience tutoring and helping with homework at my highschool because I love teaching.

Peer Mentoring Scheme (Autumn 2015 and Spring 2016):
This involved me helping a fellow student in my school in the year below with organising their revision time, completing homework and general time management. We would meet once or twice a week and I was able to pass on my own knowledge when it comes to studying efficiently.
Babysitting (2013-2017 All year): This involved looking after a two year old and 6 year old, dealing with any problems that tend to arise with children: crying, tantrums etc. but generally looking after them and putting them to bed.
Level 2 qualification in ‘Sexual Health Peer Education’ (2015):
This involved working closely with my team and subsequently presenting to peers at school exposing misconceptions surrounding sexual health which I feel are important to talk about such as the stigma related to HIV.
