About Abby
Born and raised in the Waikato, I have seen the educational system from many perspectives; achieving an understanding of cultural diversity, specifically with Maori. I have achieved both NCEA level 1 and 2, and finished my first year of law school with an A- average. From studying law I have found a passion for helping my peers, and wish to further that help towards young people who wish to strive for greatness. However, I also understand in times of stress, motivation can be lost. As someone who has struggled with this myself I want nothing more than to help students find their passions and enjoy learning.

My personal approach to tutoring is assisting with sentence and paragraph structures. I can confidently edit grammatical errors and hope to improve students understanding of formal writing. I am big on brainstorming and laying things out on the page to know exactly where the given assignment is going in order to effectively write essays, speeches, and other forms of writing. With exams in mind, as well as tests student may have throughout the year, I wish to help students get more confident with planning and study to stay on top of everything, including crazy deadlines.
