About Finnigan
I have extensive research experience at the highest level. I have published many articles in international scientific journals, been keynote speaker at multiple international conferences, and lead a research group with multiple PhD and MSc students.
I am also an accomplished public speaker and science communicator. I have given interviews on live radio, podcasts, television, and print media. I also regularly give public lectures to a diverse range of audiences.

I am a Senior Research Fellow in geophysics at Victoria University of Wellington, with extensive experience in publishing, supervising postgraduate research, and reviewing scientific work at MSc, PhD, and journal level.
I work with postgraduate students, researchers, and industry clients who need high-level, expert input on scientific writing, presentation, analysis, and research design, particularly in the final stages before submission or publication.
My approach goes beyond proofreading. I provide structured mentorship and critical feedback similar to what you would receive from a supervisor, reviewer, or examiner, helping you to:

Improve structure, coherence, and scientific rigour
