About Cohen
I am a 5th year Earth and Ocean Sciences student at the University of British Columbia Vancouver Campus. My degree has been mainly focused on topics such as oceanography, geology, hydrogeology, and the many impacts of climate change and pollution.
In my grade 11 and 12 years, I attended Vancouver Island University part-time to take courses in environmental science, anthropology, psychology, and calculus. I was also a competitive rower, competing at Royal Canadian Henley in 2017, and winning gold in the 2016 BC summer games. I was also able to get roughly 10 scholarships that got me over $12000 towards my first year at UBC.

I am currently in my 5th year of my Earth and Ocean Sciences Degree at the UBC Vancouver Campus. I am a laid back, and patient teacher, but I am also persistent and will always look for a new way of explaining a concept when my students are having trouble.
I like to teach how I learn. This often involves me having to relearn a concept or formula multiple times before it becomes second nature to me. As I can't be with my students every time they study, I like to make sure I show my students where they can find examples of how to solve their homework problems online, and then explain in detail each step that is being taken.
I am the perfect tutor for anyone in first or second year sciences, high school, or middle school.
