About Thomas
I am a software developer with three+ years of professional experience in the biotech industry using SQL and Python for both simple and complex projects. I've set up SQL servers, designed Python scripts to automate data processing, and written dashboards that communicate with the aforementioned SQL servers to visualize and process data. Aside from my professional experience, I have a Master's in Data Science from Lewis University and a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from Walla Walla University. I understand the struggles of education, which is also why I'm passionate about tutoring and helping people realize their potential.

I understand the frustration of taking hard classes and feeling like you're being left behind by your peers. Programming is no exception. Because of my own experiences, I am very patient with my students and have a deep desire to make them feel like they can make mistakes free from judgement. Mistakes are a part of learning, so we should feel free to make them in order to grow.
I'll gently guide you to a solution with clear and concise explanations. Since I expect you the learn the material well, I'll challenge you to figure the problem out for yourself. If you get stuck, I'll feed you some hints to keep moving forward. We want to find that sweet spot of learning where you aren't so deep into the woods you don't know where to go, but also aren't being spoon-fed answers, thus hindering your growth. I'll also offer some personalization dependent on your needs (perhaps coming up with custom SQL data or fun Python projects relevant to your interests).
Educational level doesn't matter. If you are in middle school, high school, or college, then I hope to help you achieve greatness.
