About Alessandro
Hi! I’m Alessandro, an Italian software engineer based in Tallinn. I’m passionate about technology, finance, and boxing—disciplines that have shaped my mindset and my approach to learning and teaching.
I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Genoa, where I graduated in 2022. I also have three years of professional experience as a software engineer in the banking industry. My academic and professional background has given me a strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, system design, and large-scale software development.
I first came to tutoring while preparing for big tech interviews myself. After completing more than 200 mock interviews and receiving consistently strong feedback, I realized I could help others navigate the same path more effectively. That experience shaped my structured and results-oriented teaching method.

As a tutor, my approach combines solid theoretical foundations with a highly practical, hands-on learning style. I focus on helping students truly understand data structures and algorithms by implementing them step by step and then reinforcing the concepts through carefully selected exercises. My teaching philosophy is centered on adapting explanations and pacing to ensure consistent progress and clarity.
A typical lesson begins with a clear and intuitive explanation of the topic, followed by guided coding where we build the structure or algorithm together. After that, we move into independent practice, where students solve curated problems while receiving detailed feedback and alternative approaches to improve efficiency and understanding.
What sets me apart is the balance between depth and accessibility: I don’t just teach how something works, but also why it works and when to apply it. My lessons are suitable for beginners, computer science students, and developers preparing for technical interviews or aiming to strengthen their algorithmic thinking skills.
