I have a master's degree in computer science and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. I highly rely on stimulating the students’ thinking about problems through asking questions after explaining the concepts. I think giving them a chance to think about the way they can approach certain problem outperforms providing immediate solutions. In my experience, I have found that students learn better when they are interested in the material. Designing interesting assignments which help the students see the connection between what they are learning and how it is applied in practice has always been a challenging process.
