About Matthew
I am an AI/ML engineer and a master's candidate in AI and Systems Engineering at the University of Ottawa, with more than five years of professional software engineering experience before I moved into machine learning.
Day to day, I build and evaluate AI systems, which means I am not teaching from a textbook I read once. I am teaching the exact tools and workflows I use in real projects. That practical grounding is what I bring to every lesson.
Just as important, I care about making this approachable. I remember what it felt like to be stuck on my first bug, so I am patient, I explain things clearly, and I meet you wherever you are. My goal is simple: help you build real skills and the confidence to use them.

My lessons are built around doing, not just watching. As a working AI/ML engineer and master's candidate at the University of Ottawa, I teach the way real code gets written: we start with a concept, then immediately apply it to a small project you actually care about.
